You can test this by temporarily disabling the firewall to see if that will allow you to "add an identity" and make a good connection. Sip / Voip software (Softphone) software may require adding firewall rules if the firewall is enabled like it is supposed to be. I think to have secure communications will require both the caller and receiver using the same secure software. Linphone is supposed to be secure as long as you and the receiver you are calling is also using Linphone.
